Care & Maintenance – Glue Down LVT Flooring

At Infinita, our Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) flooring is designed for durability, but like any investment, it requires proper care to maintain its beauty and performance. Please follow the guidance below to keep your floor looking its best and to ensure your warranty remains valid.

Routine Cleaning

  • Sweep, vacuum (with a soft head), or dry mop regularly to remove dirt and grit.

  • Clean with a pH-neutral floor cleaner and a damp mop. Avoid excessive water.

  • Do not use bleach, abrasive powders, or solvent-based cleaners, as these can damage the wear layer.

Preventative Measures

  • Place entrance mats at all external doors to reduce dirt and moisture being tracked in.

  • Fit felt pads under all furniture legs and use castor cups under rolling chairs.

  • Avoid dragging heavy furniture or appliances across the floor; lift and place instead.

  • Protect against direct sunlight with blinds or UV films to reduce fading.

Spill & Stain Management

  • Wipe up liquid spills immediately to prevent staining or damage.

  • For sticky substances (e.g. chewing gum, paint), gently remove with a plastic scraper – never with sharp metal tools.

  • If necessary, spot clean with a mild, pH-neutral cleaner and a damp cloth.

Environmental Conditions

  • Flooring must be kept in an indoor, climate-controlled environment.

  • Maintain room temperature between 18°C – 27°C and relative humidity between 40% – 65%.

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to standing water or excessive moisture.

What Not to Do

  • Do not use steam mops – they force moisture and heat into the floor and will void the warranty.

  • Do not polish or apply waxes; LVT has a factory-applied wear layer and does not require additional coatings.

  • Do not install in external areas, wet rooms, or unheated conservatories.

Warranty Protection

Compliance with these care instructions is a condition of your warranty. Damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper cleaning, or failure to follow these guidelines will not be covered. For full warranty details, please refer to our Warranty Page.
